More images from an individual Potter's Wheel Session with an enthusiastic youngster who enjoyed every minute!

After Ernie centres the clay on the turntable and begins the shape of the base of the vase...

...it is time for him to change places with his young student for her first attempt at a Potter's Wheel Session.

...of course...she is at first slightly apprehensive of something so new

and so different...

...but...as the images show...under the ever-watchful eye and the reassurance of the hands and voice of her tutor, Ernie...

...her confidence and enjoyment develop in leaps and bounds as she sees her vase grow and shape from the bottom up.

Just look at the joy - from ear to ear!

...and...from a tutor's point of view...there is nothing quite like the feeling you get when a student of yours gets that

'lightbulb moment'

...the realisation that they have actually CREATED something new under your guidance is all over their face!

The learning experience

really IS a two-way thing.
